What is Quizma?
Quizma (quizma.app) is a free web app for live multiplayer quizzes. A host — usually a teacher, a team lead or an event organiser — starts a quiz and shows a 6-character game code or a QR code. Players join in the browser on their own phones with just a name, answer each question against a timer and watch a live leaderboard. There is nothing to install, and players do not need an account.
Who uses it
- Teachers, for quick checks of understanding, revision before a test and lesson starters.
- Teams and companies, for team building, onboarding and meetings.
- Anyone hosting a party, a quiz night or an event.
How a game works
- The host creates a quiz in the editor or picks a public one from the library.
- The host starts a game; a game code and a QR code appear on the screen.
- Players open quizma.app and join with the code and a name.
- Each question runs against a timer. Faster correct answers score more points, and streaks of correct answers earn a bonus.
- After each question the correct answer is revealed, with an explanation if the author added one.
- At the end the host sees the results and a report per question, which can be downloaded as a CSV file.
Features
- Question types: one correct answer, several correct answers, yes/no and poll.
- Time limit per question: 10, 20, 30 or 60 seconds.
- Images and GIFs: upload a picture, search for GIFs or photos, or paste a link.
- Solo mode: play any quiz alone, with the questions advancing automatically.
- Results report with the accuracy of each question, and CSV export.
- Rematch: start the same quiz again in one click.
- A public quiz library, including curriculum quizzes for schools in England, Slovakia and Germany, and a quiz of the day.
- Copy & edit: turn any public quiz into your own version.
- An optional custom logo shown while the quiz is played.
- Quiz authors can sign in with Google or an email link to manage their quizzes; creating a quiz also works without an account.
What Quizma does not do
- There is no native app: Quizma runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.

- Quizzes cannot be imported from other tools yet.
